Welcome back to another weekly round-up of consulting M&A news. With the approaching festive holiday season, it's evident that the consulting M&A landscape may experience a slowdown.
Consequently, the past week witnessed minimal activity, with UES being the sole player in the acquisition arena. Let's delve into the details of this particular transaction, shall we?
#1. UES purchases environmental consultancy InControl Technologies
UES, a consulting and engineering firm headquartered in Orlando, has successfully acquired InControl Technologies, an environmental consulting firm based in Houston.
Established in 1997, InControl specializes in delivering environmental and consulting services to various sectors, including commercial property management companies, institutional organizations, chemical and petrochemical industries, electrical and gas utility companies, large industrial complexes, and public sector entities.
The company's service portfolio encompasses site investigations and assessments, remediation design, environmental construction management, environmental legal support, regulatory programs, statistical modeling, as well as expertise in asbestos, mold, and lead management.
This acquisition aligns with UES' strategic expansion into environmental services, following its recent addition of Biome Consulting Group, a Florida-based ecological consultancy, in September.
Dave Witsken, CEO of UES, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, "As we envision the future of UES, we take pride in enhancing our capabilities to meet the growing demand for environmentally sustainable development.”
He further added, “The addition of InControl Technologies' expertise in environmental services further strengthens our ability to offer environmentally sound solutions that positively impact our clients and communities.”
Closing Thoughts
And that’s a wrap in our consulting M&A weekly. We will be back again next week with hopefully more M&A news for you. In the meantime, stay safe and we hope you have a wonderful holiday season. Cheers!
