Working with us

At the Heart of Innovation, Every Single Day

Working at ABGi means being at the heart of an environment focused on innovation, work-life balance, and progress every day. We are a team of over 500 people across eight countries, united by a shared commitment to helping our clients structure and finance their innovation. Our motto — work with purpose, play with passion — captures who we are: a serious, high-performing organisation that also believes in the importance of connection, celebration, and shared experience. From annual seminars that bring together teams from across the world, to monthly Sharing and Inside sessions where ideas and best practices flow freely, we build a culture where everyone contributes, every voice matters, and collective success is genuinely felt.

Why joining us

Variety, Challenge and Real Career Opportunities

Joining ABGi means discovering roles that offer a genuine variety of challenges and unique opportunities. Whether you are interested in consultancy, sales, technical expertise, or operations, we help you find the path that matches your skills, ambitions, and career aspirations. We are a growing, entrepreneurial organisation — founded by entrepreneurs and developed by the people who work here — where intrapreneurship is not just encouraged but embedded in how we operate. With a presence in eight countries and a portfolio of over 15,000 completed projects, ABGi gives you access to a breadth of experience and a network that is genuinely rare in our sector.

Career path

A Clear Path with Room to Grow

Career development at ABGi follows a structured but flexible progression. Consultants begin by building deep expertise in innovation funding and client delivery, before taking on increasingly complex projects with greater autonomy. With experience, they progress to Business Manager roles — managing the full sales cycle, leading teams, and shaping service offerings — or to Expert roles within our Community of Experts, where they contribute to strategic committees and cross-functional innovation initiatives. Regional Manager and Practice Director positions represent the next level, driving performance across geographies and leading high-impact programmes for the broader innovation ecosystem. Mobility is actively supported: our Global Sales Challenge rewards top performers with an international mobility week at the ABGi office of their choice.

Training

The Upskilling Programme — Learning Built Into How We Work

Our Upskilling programme is the structural framework for all professional development at ABGi. It integrates continuous training, skills development, and mobility support into a coherent programme aligned with our values. Learn & Play sessions encourage curiosity and cross-functional learning; Sharing and Inside sessions create space for knowledge exchange and best-practice consolidation across teams and geographies. The Global Sales Challenge recognises commitment and high-quality work while offering winners a week of international mobility. Beyond these programmes, every employee benefits from a working environment specifically designed to enable them to perform at their best — with ongoing support from managers and a culture that treats development as a shared responsibility, not a one-off event.

What we are looking for

Curious, Committed and Ready to Make an Impact

We recruit consultants, young PhDs, engineers, and experts from leading schools and institutions, as well as sales and business development professionals who thrive in a client-facing environment. What unites our people is not a single background but a set of shared qualities: intellectual curiosity, a genuine commitment to excellence, the courage to be bold, and the desire to contribute to something meaningful. During interviews, we look beyond your CV — we want to understand who you are, what drives you, and how you can contribute to our teams. Your ability to evolve and invest yourself in our projects matters as much as your past experience.

Recruitment Process

A Reactive, Transparent and Human Process

We pay close attention to every application, whether submitted via our careers site or another platform, and every candidate receives a response regardless of the outcome. If your profile matches our expectations, one of our recruitment managers will reach out to organise an initial phone call — an opportunity to better understand your aspirations, assess your fit with our current opportunities, and give you a clear picture of what life at ABGi looks like. If that first conversation goes well, your recruiter will consult with your potential future manager and arrange a follow-up interview with them. Our commitment is a reactive process with personalised follow-up at every stage, built on transparency and constructive dialogue so you can envision your future with us with confidence.

Good to know

500+ People, 8 Countries, One Culture

ABGi has over 500 employees across eight countries, including France, Germany, Brazil, Canada and the United States, managing nearly €2 billion in funding annually. We are part of the Visiativ group and have been at the forefront of innovation funding for over 35 years. Our annual seminars bring together the entire company for moments that combine strategic alignment with genuine human connection — evenings out, sporting and cultural activities, and time to build the relationships that make us stronger as a team. We also support a para-athlete partner as part of our #JEPEUX initiative, reflecting our belief that the values that define great teams — surpassing oneself, solidarity, and commitment — belong both inside and outside the workplace.

Diversity and Inclusion

An Inclusive Environment Where Every Profile Has a Place

Our Impact programme sets out our commitments to workplace equality, inclusion, and social responsibility. In 2025, ABGi achieved a gender equality index score of 89 out of 100 — well above the regulatory threshold — reflecting the concrete actions we take to ensure a fair and equitable working environment. We are also actively committed to the inclusion of people with disabilities, implementing adapted workspaces and ensuring equal access to opportunities for all. The diversity of profiles across our teams is one of our greatest strengths: it creates a stimulating, open environment where different perspectives drive better outcomes for our clients and for each other. Our commitment to inclusion is embedded in our values of sustainability and commitment, and is reflected in the way we recruit, develop, and support our people at every stage of their careers.
