Working with us

Join the team

It’s all about people: matching the aspirations and skills of unique individuals with the opportunities to make a difference to our client organisations – we exist to help our clients shift their culture and outpace their competitors. At the heart of Agility in Mind is the belief that we are most effective and rewarded when we collaborate in teams, which are made up of people with their special skills, strengths and, of course weaknesses. There’s never a defined hole which we need someone to fit, but we are always on the lookout for people who want to excel and shape opportunities to fit their unique profile.

If one of our vacancies could be you, then let us know by completing the simple application on the vacancy page. At this stage all we will be asking for is:

  • In 300 words, what attracts you to join the team and what do you have to offer?
  • A link to your professional profile, on LinkedIn or similar.

Your application will be evaluated and we’ll provide fast feedback. It will take a bit of time and investment to get to know each other, so we’ll have a few steps to go through. But, as you’d expect, we’ll keep it as lean as possible and not ask for too much at each stage.

Agility In Mind is committed to our diversity and inclusion charter. If there is anything you need to help this process be more inclusive for you please let us know at any stage of the process.

Recruitment agencies: we respect the fact that you have your role and bring value when needed. For these vacancies, unless we’ve already spoken with you, please don’t contact us, as it will only preclude you from working with us in the future. Thanks.

What we are looking for

Agile Coach

Agility in Mind is a business agility transformation company.

We’re looking for permanent agile coaches, consultants and trainers who want to help a wide variety of organisations move from traditional ways of working to survive and grow as agile organisations.

We believe that the best coaches have plenty of stories to share from their vast experience in a variety of organisations . Our coaches enjoy working as part of a team, with the freedom to make decisions in the best interests of our clients. In return, we expect our coaches to epitomise the values we prescribe: commitment, courage, focus, openness and respect. Practical experience is crucial. Teamwork is key.

Coaching with Agility in Mind

At Agility in Mind we believe in helping organisations, teams, and individuals improve their delivery of long-term value – using agile principles and practices as an enabler for change.

The majority of our coaching engagements follow a simple model:

  • Discovery – finding out what the client’s issues are and formulating a roadmap.
  • High impact training – ensuring everyone understands the basics and has a common vocabulary.
  • Coaching delivery – using a combination of tools, such as workshops, coaching, leading by example, and mentoring, we help teams put their skills into practice.

Ultimately, we’re aiming to take the client on a journey to become self-sufficient so they can continue to drive improvements and adoption without dependence on a long-term agile coach.

There is no such thing as a typical week at Agility in Mind. One day you might find yourself delivering a BDD training course for a start-up, the next a Story Mapping workshop for a blue-chip organisation. One thing is certain, there’s plenty of variety. We have a healthy internal culture of sharing lessons learnt and new ideas through our quarterly team days and regular meet-ups.

What makes you an Agility in Mind Coach?

  • You have developed and delivered training and understand how people learn.
  • You’re just as confident talking story points with the development teams as talking about time to value with senior management.
  • You look to continuously improve your expertise, knowledge and skills.
  • Receiving feedback is just as important to you as giving it.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Strong experience and knowledge of lean and agile delivery principles and practices (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Experience in Product management techniques, e.g. Business model canvas, visions, product goals, etc.
  • A good understanding of product backlog management practices, prioritisation techniques and frameworks.
  • A strong track record for improving teams with measurable results.
  • Collaborated with senior tech and product leadership.
  • Experience in introducing agile working practices outside of technology.
  • Experience creating and delivering agile training and/or workshops.
  • > 5 years practitioner experience in either coaching, product or scrum master roles

What you’ll get:

  • Client variety
  • Virtual working
  • Competitive salary
  • Flexi-time
  • Outstanding private healthcare package for you and your family
  • Enhanced holidays
