About Us

Shaping the Next in Technology-Intensive Industries

Founded in 1985 as a pioneer in telecoms research and advisory, Analysys Mason has spent four decades earning its position as the leading specialist consultancy in technology-intensive industries. What began as analytical counsel to governments and policy makers on universal service obligations has grown into a globally respected firm operating from 17 offices across Europe, Asia–Pacific, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa, delivering more than 2,000 projects in over 140 countries in the past five years alone. Today, with more than 400 analysts, strategists, engineers and orchestrators of change on our team, we are the trusted authority on the economics, commercial potential and regulation that underpin technology and connectivity. Twenty-five percent of the company is employee-owned, ensuring a long-term stability and alignment of purpose that purely commercially driven firms rarely achieve. In partnership with Bridgepoint, we continue to invest in the expertise, talent and global reach that allow us to shape what comes next — for our clients, for the industries we serve and for the connected world.

Who we are

Analysts, Strategists, Engineers and Orchestrators of Change

We are trusted advisers to businesses, governments and investors navigating their highest-stakes technology decisions. Our people do not fit a single mould: we are economists and engineers, policy specialists and transformation leaders, principal analysts and sector experts who have spent careers at the frontier of technology-intensive industries. Technology and connectivity are in our DNA. Our advice is grounded in 40 years of proprietary research, data and real-world experience advising the sectors that have shaped the connected world — from telecoms and digital infrastructure to space, energy and utilities, software, cyber security and beyond. We make complex decisions investable and executable. We help clients transact, invest, transform and realise value with confidence, delivering the clarity and confidence to shape the next decisive moment.

What we do

Research, Strategy, Transaction and Transformation — All in One Place

We provide bespoke consulting and research across four integrated capability areas, each underpinned by a highly analytical and data-driven approach. Our Research programmes deliver qualitative and quantitative market intelligence across technology, media and telecoms — trusted benchmarks that clients rely on for strategic planning, investment and competitive positioning. Our Strategy practice covers all aspects of corporate and business unit strategy, infrastructure strategy, technology strategy and commercial strategy, helping organisations build resilient market positions and unlock new sources of growth. Our Transaction practice supports the full deal lifecycle — from pre-deal market mapping and commercial due diligence through to post-merger integration and exit readiness — serving financial sponsors, lenders and operators across 138 markets and 50-plus asset classes. Our Transformation practice brings together more than 100 experts to design and deliver complex change programmes, turning ambition into measurable outcomes across operational performance, AI and digital modernisation, people and talent, supply chain and commercial excellence. Across all four practices, our globally respected Research and Insights team provides the analytical backbone that grounds every engagement in evidence.

Our Purpose

Helping Technology Deliver for All

Our purpose is to help businesses and governments leverage technology to make the world more connected, more competitive, sustainable and secure. We exist to help shape and determine the decisive moments that steer our clients' progress — whether that means advising a government on national connectivity policy, helping an operator build an AI-ready corporate strategy, or supporting an investor through a landmark transaction. Beyond client engagements, we believe our greatest societal contribution comes from deploying our unique combination of TMT expertise to guide industries towards a digital economy that works for everyone. We are committed to the highest standards of moral and ethical behaviour, to the communities where we live and work, and to a future in which technology genuinely delivers for all.

Our Values

The Five Core Values That Underpin Everything We Do

Our work is guided by five core values that inform not only how we serve our clients but how we run our business and invest in our people. These values are reinforced at company-wide briefings four times a year, where we celebrate inspiring client successes, share the latest innovations and discuss how Analysys Mason is driving growth sustainably. They are brought to life through our annual Professional Excellence Awards — chosen by the entire Partner group to recognise the most outstanding and innovative examples of consulting, research or internal initiative during the year. Regular global knowledge-sharing transfers expertise across regions and deepens our collective commitment to client service. We continuously monitor staff and client needs, seeking creative ways to improve, and hold external ISO 9001 Quality Management accreditation as a measure of our commitment to consistent, high-quality delivery. At every level, from intern to Managing Partner, our values are the foundation on which individual careers and lasting client relationships are built.

Why working with us

Deep Expertise, Intellectual Firepower and a Straightforward Way of Working

Clients return to Analysys Mason because we combine something rare: genuine specialist depth across technology-intensive industries with the scale, geographic reach and analytical rigour to tackle the most complex problems without leaving any stone unturned. Our experts carry 40 years of proprietary data and real-world sector experience into every engagement — in AI, 5G, digital infrastructure, cyber security, space, spectrum and far more. We work in a logical, transparent and collaborative way, synchronising closely with clients as partners fully committed to their challenges rather than as distant advisers. We blend into the structures of our clients' organisations, solve problems quickly and do not shy away from the groundwork. Backed by ISO 9001 Quality Management and ISO 27001 information security certifications, and with 25 percent employee ownership ensuring long-term strategic stability, we offer both the confidence of a market leader and the agility of a firm that genuinely cares about measurable, lasting impact.

Sustainability

Striving to Be the Leading Authority on Digital Change, Connectivity and Inclusion

Sustainability is not a reporting obligation at Analysys Mason — it is embedded in how we operate and in the advice we give. We are committed to becoming carbon emissions net zero by 2030, compensating for unavoidable emissions while actively reducing them. We have migrated fully to the cloud to reduce energy inefficiencies, reserve travel only for engagements where face-to-face interaction adds clear value, and ensure end-of-life equipment is securely wiped and recycled through our network of charity partners. On equipment refresh, employees are encouraged to continue using devices that remain fully operational and in good condition. Our Carbon Reduction Plan is published publicly, and ESG risks are formally integrated into the assessment of every potential supplier before contracting. Beyond our own operations, we believe our greatest environmental and social impact comes from using our combined TMT and sustainability expertise to help clients navigate successfully towards sustainable growth — advising on the policies, infrastructure investments and technology strategies that will define the low-carbon digital economy.

Community & Impact

Committed to the Communities Where We Live and Work

Social responsibility is embedded in our core values and culture, not confined to policy documents. Every colleague at Analysys Mason is offered three volunteering days per year to support charities of their choice, whether individually or as a team. We match fundraising efforts and make direct charitable donations, including a contribution to Télécoms Sans Frontières (TSF) for every client feedback submission we receive at the close of a project. TSF is a global charity that provides emergency response technologies during humanitarian crises and has delivered communication means to over 20 million people across 140-plus crises since its inception — a mission that resonates deeply with our own belief in technology as a critical enabler of social transformation. Alongside this global commitment, our offices support a wide range of local charities across every region in which we operate, reflecting the belief that lasting progress is made community by community, not just market by market.

Inclusion & Diversity

Diversity Is Celebrated, Equity Is Proactively Sought, Inclusion Is Standard

Our multinational and multicultural status is one of our greatest strengths. Our people hold more than 30 nationalities and speak 45 languages — and that breadth of perspective is not incidental to our work; it is central to the quality of our advice. We are committed to fair, transparent and inclusive working practices at every stage of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and selection through to progression and leadership. Our structured, bias-aware interview process is designed to assess candidates on merit, and our review processes are regular, transparent and meritocratic. To proactively deepen our commitment, we run an internal female executive coaching programme — Supporting Future Female Leaders — which supports the retention and professional growth of female consultants through senior mentoring, network-building and career development. We are a proud signatory of the Tech Talent Charter, a non-profit organisation driving practical, measurable progress on inequality in the UK technology sector. Our 2023 employee survey recorded an excellent rating for fair treatment across the business, more than ten points above the true benchmark, with an employer Net Promoter Score of 58.
