About Us

A People-First Consulting Business. Always Have Been. Always Will Be.

Founded in the UK in 2000, Baringa is a global management consulting partnership with hubs across Asia and the Pacific, Europe, and North America. We work with clients in every major sector — from a wind farm in Wyoming to a boardroom in Berlin — and our geographical reach extends far beyond our office footprint. Over 80% of our new business comes from referrals, recommendations, and returning clients, which tells you everything about the way we work. Our experts bring an average of 12+ years of industry experience, and our deliberately diamond-shaped structure — with a partner-to-consultant ratio of 1:9 compared to an industry average of 1:25 — means our clients always get more senior expertise, more often. We operate as a single P&L, so our teams never compete with each other; they simply do what is right for our clients. We are independent, partner-led, and unbiased to the bone — with no arrangements with software vendors or system distributors. That independence is what makes our advice trustworthy. We are building the world's most trusted consulting firm, and every part of how we run our business is structured to make sure that vision never wavers.

Who we are

Kind, Curious, and Unashamedly Geeky

We are a team of kind, curious, and deeply knowledgeable people who are genuinely passionate about the industries we work in. We do not have generalists. Every person at Baringa brings real depth to their specialism — and a gleeful enthusiasm for sharing it. We hand-pick the right people for each client, because the fit matters as much as the expertise. Our people share the same curiosity and drive, and work with one another's best interests at heart. Every partner leads a team of no more than nine consultants, so our people learn and work closely together at every level of the business. We have been voted a Great Place to Work for over a decade, and we have been recognised for our commitments to women, wellbeing, neurodiversity, religious equity, and social mobility in the workplace. We hire only those who combine deep expertise with the kindness, integrity, and boldness it takes to tackle the toughest challenges head-on. When you work with us, there is no 'us' and no 'them' — just one team, with one goal: your success.

What we do

Tackling the Toughest Challenges. Leaving Impact That Lasts.

We are a management consulting firm that works with organisations across Energy and Resources, Financial Services, Government and Public Sector, Pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences, Consumer Products and Retail, Technology, Media and Telecoms, and Manufacturing. Our capabilities span Strategy, Artificial Intelligence, Data and AI, Digital Strategy and Business Models, Cloud and Platforms, Transformation, Operational Excellence, Sustainability, Talent and Culture, CFO Advisory, Transaction Advisory, Supply Chain, Procurement, Digital Risk and Cyber Security, Customer and Digital, Policy, Regulation and Economics, and more. We go beyond the strategy of tomorrow and the detail of today — the nuts and bolts of balance sheets, project plans, and kilowatt hours. We build capability directly into our clients' teams as we go, so our work stands on its own feet long after we leave. We are also leading by example with AI: our internal Gen AI platform, Baringa Labs, equips our people with cutting-edge tools and skills, and our Baringa Cloud platform allows us to deploy and manage AI solutions seamlessly for clients across Azure, AWS, GCP, and OpenAI.

Our Purpose

Building the World's Most Trusted Consulting Firm

Our ambition is straightforward: to be the world's most trusted consulting firm. That means being the first choice for talent, clients, and communities who share our drive to solve the most difficult challenges — chosen because we put people first, create trust at every stage, and pioneer an impactful, positive way of working. We believe that a consulting firm built on principled decision-making — doing what is right for the long haul — creates better outcomes for everyone. Not just for our clients, but for our people, our communities, and our planet. Our partnership is founded on that principle, and it shapes everything from how we structure our teams to the work we take on and the causes we support. Impact that lasts is not a tagline; it is the measure by which we judge everything we do.

Our Values

Be Kind. Be Curious. Be Great.

This simple mantra has guided Baringa since the very beginning, and it still shapes every decision we make — from who we hire to how we show up for our clients. Being kind means looking out for the people we work with, building an inclusive culture where every voice counts, being compassionate and honest, and doing the right thing even when that means delivering tough messages. It means proactively supporting one another's mental health and knowing that no one should ever struggle alone. Being curious means thriving on every opportunity to immerse ourselves in the industries we love. We are innovative and always thinking beyond the obvious. We are street smart as well as book smart, and we know that acknowledging what we do not yet know is the beginning of the best learning. Being great means acting with integrity, recommending only what is genuinely best for our clients, delivering high-quality ideas and services, and taking personal ownership of our work. Our greatness is not self-proclaimed — it is reflected back to us when our clients, peers, and people tell us how much they value the lasting impact we created together. That is when our hearts sing.

Why working with us

A Powerful Way of Working That Delivers Lasting Impact

What we do might sound familiar. How we do it is what makes us different. We partner with people, not businesses — getting to know our clients at every level, from the C-Suite to the front line, building relationships that often last for decades. We operate as a single P&L, which means our teams never compete with each other and always do what is right for the client in front of them. Our diamond-shaped structure gives our clients more senior expertise and more hands-on partner involvement than the industry standard. We are completely independent — no alliances with technology vendors, no hidden agendas, just honest advice. We are prepared to challenge and never afraid to deliver tough messages, because our clients know they can trust us to be straight with them. We measure our success by one thing only: the satisfaction of our clients and our people. Over 80% of our new business comes from referrals and returning clients — and we have been consistently recognised in the Financial Times' UK's Leading Management Consultants rankings every year since 2018, with a record number of categories in 2026. When we leave, our capabilities stay. We build real skills into our clients' teams so our impact endures long after the engagement ends.

Sustainability

Net Zero by 2030. Planet. People. Progress.

The climate crisis demands collective action, and we are committed to playing our part. In June 2021, we joined the UNFCCC's Race to Zero Campaign and pledged to be net zero aligned by 2030, with Science Based Targets Initiative-verified net zero targets across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions by 2050. More than 80% of the electricity supplied to our offices globally is now renewable, and we have migrated our on-premises servers to virtual cloud infrastructure, saving significant energy. We have achieved ISO 14001 Certification, recognising the maturity of our Environmental Management System, and we publish an annual Carbon Reduction Plan and non-financial scorecard to hold ourselves publicly accountable. We offset our residual operational emissions through high-quality, independently rated nature-based projects — including the world's largest blue carbon project, Delta Blue Carbon in Pakistan, and the Katingan REDD+ peatland protection project in Indonesia. But the biggest influence we can have is through our client work: from building offshore wind farms and unlocking low-carbon capital in financial services, to helping complex industries decarbonise and advising on the energy transition at a global scale. Sustainability is a journey, not a destination — and we have been on it since 2009.

Community & Impact

Creating Lasting Impact Beyond Our Four Walls

People are at the heart of everything we do, and that does not stop at the edge of our client work. Through volunteering days, charity partnerships, pro- and low-bono projects, and our Baringa Community Fund, our people dedicate hundreds of hours every year to the causes that matter most to them. Every person at Baringa receives three paid volunteering days per year. We have delivered Meals on Wheels in New York, cleaned the river Rhine in Düsseldorf, run workshops for the Down Syndrome Association in Singapore, helped elderly Londoners navigate technology, cooked nutritious meals with FareShare in Australia, and mapped crisis areas for humanitarian organisations remotely. Our Baringa Community Fund enables substantive pro- and low-bono projects with third-sector organisations, from helping the Money and Mental Health Policy Institute measure its social impact to backing solar installation in remote First Nations communities in Australia. Our charity placement programme embeds Baringa experts directly into selected charities for six months, and our work placement scheme — supported by partners including SOS Children's Villages, The Brokerage, Drive Forward, Civics Unplugged, and Year Up — gives young people from disadvantaged backgrounds a real taste of consulting life and the skills to launch their careers. We stay invested in their futures long after the programme ends.

Inclusion & Diversity

Everyone Is Different. Everyone Belongs.

Diversity, equity and inclusion is not something we bolt on at Baringa — it is embedded in how we work, how we think, and who we do business with. We work hard to inspire a culture where everyone can bring their best selves to work and where we can thrive on all forms of diversity. We hold ourselves accountable to that vision through continuous learning, active networks, transparent reporting, and an anti-racism pledge with ten specific commitments. Our DEI networks are active and partner-sponsored: the Ethnic Diversity Network (with subnetworks including Black at Baringa, SEEAN, South Asian, MENA, and Mixed Heritage), the Gender Diversity Network, Embrace (LGBTQ+), Interfaith and Belief, Neurodiversity, Social Mobility, and Empower (disability and long-term health conditions). We run bystander awareness training, facilitate open conversations about identity, neurodiversity, and working parenthood, and share anonymised diversity data with clients on request. We publish our Gender and Ethnicity Pay Gap Report annually. We have been named the UK's top employer in the REDI Index for religious equity, recognised as a Best Workplace for Women by Great Place to Work, and awarded a Bronze NDEI Award for our commitment to neurodivergent colleagues. Promotion at Baringa is based entirely on readiness and performance — no quotas, no arbitrary timelines. Different is not just tolerated here. Different is what makes us great.

Awards & Accreditations

Recognised by the People Who Matter Most: Our Clients and Our People

Our awards are not the ones we chase for ourselves — they are the ones voted on by our clients, our peers, and our people, and that is what makes them meaningful to us. In the Financial Times' UK's Leading Management Consultants 2026 rankings, we achieved a record number of categories, including thr... See more
