Through the BCG X AI Science Institute, we collaborate with universities, industry experts, and leading R&D teams to drive breakthroughs in drug discovery, climate modeling, air traffic optimization, and advanced materials. In partnership with Merck, we developed TEDDY—a family of AI foundation models for understanding single-cell biology—accelerating the path to new treatments for chronic and degenerative diseases. In partnership with NASA and USRA's Research Institute for Advanced Computer Science, we released the GAIA Foundation Model to the scientific community as an open-source tool for weather and climate analysis. BCG has committed $500 million by 2030 to unlock the power of AI for social impact across education, workforce development, healthcare, and poverty reduction.
