About Us

Setting the Standard for Operational Excellence Since 1963

Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA) has spent more than six decades earning the trust of the nation's most demanding customers. Founded in 1963 by a group of software engineers who built one of the first large-scale data communications systems for the Federal Government, DSA has grown from a pioneer in secure military messaging into a full-spectrum IT and professional services firm serving defense, intelligence, homeland security, civil, state, and commercial markets. In 1980, DSA converted to a 100% employee-owned company — a defining move that placed every employee's stake directly alongside every customer's success. That ownership culture, combined with a relentless commitment to innovation, has produced milestone after milestone: the world's first packet switch for civil aviation, the DoD's first enterprise social business solution, the first secure web-based contracting suite for the U.S. Army, and early deployments of cloud infrastructure for the Army Intelligence Community. Today, DSA is headquartered in Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania, with offices in Aberdeen, Charlottesville, and Fairfax, Virginia, and a workforce that thinks and acts like the owners they are.

Who we are

Employee-Owned. Mission-Driven. Relentlessly Committed to Excellence.

DSA is a professional services company united by one enduring purpose: to provide secure information management solutions that enable our customers to protect the public welfare, safeguard our nation, and promote freedom worldwide. We are 100% employee-owned and approximately 40% veteran-owned — a combination that shapes how we show up every day. Because each member of our team is also an owner, we bring personal accountability, genuine investment, and a high-energy approach to every program we support. Our culture is defined by the DSA Way — 36 Fundamentals that go beyond policy to articulate the behaviors, attitudes, and commitments that make us who we are. We act with integrity. We find a way. We listen generously, speak straight, and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in everything we touch. These are not aspirational slogans; they are the daily operating norms of an organization that has earned its reputation one mission at a time over more than six decades of service.

What we do

Resilient, Secure, Innovative Solutions That Deliver Mission Success

DSA delivers a comprehensive portfolio of IT and consulting solutions across four core practice areas. In Mission Support, we provide program management, ITSM, cybersecurity strategy and compliance, systems engineering and technical assistance (SETA), intelligence analysis, and training operations — arming customers with sophisticated processes and technologies for peak performance. In Enterprise Information Technology, we drive modernization journeys through cloud solutions, DevSecOps, software development, and IT management that maximize investments and align systems to strategic goals. In Data Science, we develop AI and machine learning solutions that optimize automation, sharpen data-driven decision making, and surface strategic insights from complex datasets. In Critical Infrastructure Protection, we bring operational intelligence to utilities, facilities, and business systems through our WatchPost platform — combining real-time monitoring, advanced analytics, industrial control system cybersecurity, smart grid optimization, and geospatial services to strengthen the resiliency of the nation's most vital assets. Across every practice, our experienced employee-owners embed the DSA Way into every deliverable, ensuring that quality, innovation, and mission reliability are never optional.

Our Purpose

Making the World Safer, Greener, and More Connected

DSA makes the world safer, greener, and more connected. That is our mission — direct, deliberate, and enduring. We pursue it by living the DSA Fundamentals, which inspire our employee-owners to deliver secure, innovative solutions to the customers who protect the public welfare and safeguard our nation. Our vision is to be a recognized leader of secure, innovative technology and information management solutions that enable our customers to serve the public and defend national security. We commit to conserving energy, responsibly managing waste, and reducing our environmental impact — and we are proud to be 100% Carbon Offset. Every contract we win, every solution we deliver, and every relationship we build is grounded in this purpose: to contribute to global mission success in ways that leave the world better than we found it.

Our Values

The Guiding Principles Behind Everything We Do

Our Guiding Principles are not a list of aspirations — they are the standards we hold ourselves to every day. Integrity and Trust anchor everything: we conduct all business honestly, maintain confidences, meet commitments, and accept responsibility for our actions. Respect for the Individual ensures we value the unique skills, abilities, and backgrounds every person brings to the team. Merit drives our decisions, based on objective criteria that achieve the best results for our company, our customers, and our employee-owners, with equal and fair treatment for all. Customer Focus means we align ourselves completely with our customers' objectives and work relentlessly toward their success. Responsibility and Accountability require us to produce desired outcomes in a timely and professional manner. Fiscal Responsibility guides us to keep the company financially strong while increasing its long-term value. Teamwork and Self-Reliance coexist here — we build relationships, collaborate across boundaries, and find common ground while valuing each individual's ability to take initiative. And through Competence and Learning, we commit to performing at the highest level of professionalism and continuously building the knowledge and capabilities that prepare us for whatever comes next.

Why working with us

The DSA Difference: Pairing the Best Expertise with a Culture That Delivers

What distinguishes DSA is the combination of depth and ownership that we bring to every engagement. With more than six decades of demonstrated success supporting the nation's most sensitive, mission-critical programs, we offer proven expertise across cybersecurity, enterprise IT modernization, data science, and critical infrastructure — backed by certifications including ISO 9001:2015, ISO/IEC 27001, CMMI Level 3, and CMMC Level 2 C3PAO. But expertise alone is not enough. What truly sets us apart is that every person on a DSA program is an employee-owner with a direct personal stake in the outcome. We do not just manage contracts — we take ownership of our customers' missions. Our contract vehicle breadth, including prime positions on GSA OASIS+, GSA Alliant 2, DIA SITE III, Navy Seaport-NxG, Army ITES-3S, and others, ensures our customers can access our capabilities with speed and flexibility. And because we are relentless about improvement — always asking whether we can do something better, faster, and more effectively — our customers gain a partner that grows smarter with every engagement.

Sustainability

100% Carbon Offset. Committed to a Greener Mission.

Sustainability is not peripheral to our mission — it is embedded in it. DSA commits to conserving energy and responsibly disposing of waste, and we are proud to be 100% Carbon Offset. Our Critical Infrastructure Protection practice extends this commitment outward: through our WatchPost platform and Smart Grid services, we help customers optimize energy management, reduce operational costs, integrate renewable energy resources, and build infrastructure resilience that supports a more sustainable future. From improving energy efficiency at university campuses and medical centers to enabling demand response and load shifting for energy providers, DSA's work directly contributes to greener, more connected communities. Making the world greener is not a tagline — it is part of what we mean when we say we deliver mission reliability.

Community & Impact

Build. Give. Grow. Citizenship at the Core of the DSA Way.

Caring for our communities is Fundamental #36 of the DSA Way — and it is one we take seriously. Whether we are building a STEM-educated workforce for the future or contributing resources to support our military and their families, DSA employee-owners actively give back to the people and places that matter. We participate in and support organizations including AFCEA, the American Red Cross, Fisher House, Habitat for Humanity, the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, Special Olympics, Toys for Tots, the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), Walk for Wishes, and the Wounded Warrior Project. Our culture recognizes each employee's commitment as a community crusader — celebrating their philanthropic contributions and team spirit as expressions of the same values that drive our mission work. At DSA, citizenship is not a program. It is a way of being.

Inclusion & Diversity

Merit, Respect, and Equal Opportunity — Without Exception

At DSA, respect for the individual is a core Guiding Principle, not a checkbox. We value and respect the unique combination of skills, abilities, aspirations, and backgrounds that every individual brings to our team. We base decisions on merit and objective criteria, and we demonstrate consistency of treatment toward individuals at every level of the organization. All qualified applicants receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other legally protected status. We support equal and fair treatment for all — and we are committed to providing reasonable accommodations to ensure that individuals with disabilities have equal opportunity throughout the hiring process. DSA is also a proud supporter of veterans and military families, and approximately 40% of our workforce is veteran-owned, reflecting the deep respect we have for those who have served.
