About Us

Born from Science, Built for Practice

We are International Transfer Center for Logistics (ITCL) GmbH — a spin-off company of the Department of Logistics at TU Berlin, founded in 2005 by Prof. Dr. Frank Straube. Since day one, our mission has been to bridge the gap between leading logistics research and real-world implementation. We support companies in adopting innovation-oriented developments along the end-to-end supply chain, combining management, process, and technology expertise in every engagement.

Who we are

The Transfer Champions of Logistics

We are a boutique team of specialists — experienced consultants with deep expertise in the central innovation fields of logistics. Our roots in the TU Berlin logistics network give us access to cutting-edge research, international partnerships, and a community of academics and practitioners. Clients work with us because they get the rigour of science and the pragmatism of seasoned consultants in the same room.

What we do

Five Dimensions, One Supply Chain

We consult companies along the five central innovation fields of logistics: Supply Chain Digitalization, Supply Chain Visibility, Supply Chain Resilience, Supply Chain Sustainability, and Supply Chain Excellence. Whether guiding a digital transformation, designing a resilient network, building Scope 3 transparency, or implementing operational excellence at factory floor level, we develop individual solutions tailored to each client's unique starting position.

Our Purpose

Driving the Logistics of Tomorrow

Our purpose is to support companies in implementing innovation-oriented developments in logistics and to promote the exchange and transfer between science and business. We believe that excellence in logistics is not an end state — it is a continuous journey, and we are the partner that accompanies you along every step of it.

Our Values

What Guides Us

Excellence — we hold ourselves and our clients to the highest standards. Transfer — we believe knowledge only creates value when it moves from insight to implementation. End-to-end thinking — we never optimise a silo at the expense of the whole. Partnership — our longstanding customer relationships, often spanning many years, reflect the trust we earn through results.

Why working with us

Science Meets Real-World Impact

We combine the analytical depth of TU Berlin's leading logistics research with hands-on implementation experience across hundreds of projects. Our consultants bring end-to-end supply chain perspective that spans management, process, and technology layers. Clients like Volkswagen, BMW, Airbus, BASF, Siemens, Beiersdorf, and Schaeffler return to us because we deliver measurable, lasting results — not frameworks that gather dust.

Sustainability

Making Scope 3 Count

Supply Chain Sustainability is one of our five core practice areas. We help companies build emissions calculation frameworks, achieve ISO 14083 compliance, and develop actionable sustainability roadmaps for their logistics operations. With rising EU CSRD requirements and up to 80% of total emissions sitting in Scope 3, we guide clients from initial measurement to structural network redesign — working with companies such as Volkswagen, Beiersdorf, Viessmann, BASF, and Audi.
