For LCP, sustainability is both an internal commitment and an external mission. We have been operationally carbon neutral for scope 1 and 2 emissions since 2021, achieving this by continuously monitoring our energy and resource use and pursuing meaningful reductions — including solar panels, renewable energy providers and electric vehicle charging points at our refurbished Winchester office. Our Green Champions Network brings together colleagues from across all business areas to promote environmentally friendly practices and ensure our third-party relationships are as responsible as possible. We apply environmental and social criteria when selecting suppliers and hold them to our Statement of Supplier Expectations. But we know that the greatest sustainability impact we can have extends far beyond our own walls. Through our responsible investment advice, we help clients understand the climate impact of their assets and take focused action. We believe that creating a more positive future starts from within — and extends well into the communities around us. The LCP Foundation, established in 2019, gives us a formal framework to deliver that belief, allocating £250,000 in 2024–25 to a range of charitable causes through long-term partnerships, employee-led grants, quick-reaction emergency relief and matched fundraising. Our Giving Back Networks in London, Winchester, Edinburgh and Cambridge foster deep relationships with local and national charities, enabling us to achieve maximum impact through fundraising, volunteering and sustained support. We have pledged £140,000 over two years to Trinity Winchester and The Felix Project, two organisations whose work for people experiencing homelessness and food insecurity we find truly inspiring. Our people lead the way: in one year alone, more than 50 matched-fundraising requests were supported across everything from marathons to charity sleep-outs. Beyond formal philanthropy, LCP people sit on over 60 external professional and trade committees, contribute to public policy development and have run campaigns — from uncovering underpaid state pensions to championing the Mothers Missing Millions — that have real, lasting impact on the lives of people across the UK.
