About Us

Meet LRQA — Your Risk Management Advantage

LRQA is the leading global risk management partner, built on unrivalled expertise in compliance, certification, inspection, advisory and training. Operating in more than 150 countries with a team of over 5,000 people, we support more than 61,000 clients across virtually every sector to anticipate, mitigate and manage risk wherever they operate. From the food on our tables to the energy powering the grid, from the security of critical digital infrastructure to the integrity of global supply chains, our specialists work at the intersection of today's most complex challenges — helping businesses evolve by connecting them with tomorrow's thinking, today. LRQA Group Limited is a limited company registered in England and Wales, with its registered office in Birmingham. Our award-winning portfolio spans Quality Assurance, Safety Excellence, Cyber Security, Climate Performance and Responsible Sourcing — five interconnected solutions designed to deliver a stronger, more secure future for every client we serve.

Who we are

Others See Risk. We See What's Possible.

We are LRQA — a team of risk management specialists, technical experts, auditors, cyber defenders, sustainability advisors and supply chain investigators united by a single mission: to help the world's leading organisations turn risk into competitive advantage. Our people serve on 68 global technical committees and have been instrumental in the development of more than 50 global and national standards, schemes and guidelines. We were the first organisation to receive UKAS accreditation to deliver ISO 9001 certification in 1987 and ISO 14001 in 1996. We are the only organisation in the world with a full suite of CREST accreditations for cybersecurity. In 2019 our ESG specialists launched EiQ, the world's first end-to-end supply chain due diligence platform, and in 2024 we established Assurance 4.0 — a client-challenge-led approach to risk and opportunity. Our culture is shaped by five core values: Vision, Integrity, Togetherness, Ambition and Expertise. They are not just words; they are our DNA — reflecting how we do business, how we treat each other and the standard we hold ourselves to every single day.

What we do

Connected Risk Management Solutions — From Certification to Cyber

We deliver an integrated portfolio of risk management solutions spanning five interconnected practice areas. Through Quality Assurance we connect quality, compliance and performance using recognised global standards, inspections and system assessments — certifying over 100,000 sites to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 each year. Through Safety Excellence we embed a culture of safety that protects people, operations and supply chains. Through Cyber Security we provide expert-led, attacker-informed services — from penetration testing and managed detection and response to governance, incident readiness and 24/7 SOC-as-a-Service — identifying and helping manage more than 20,000 cyber vulnerabilities annually. Through Climate Performance we help clients map emissions, navigate regulation and verify performance, supporting over 600 renewable energy projects across 25 countries in the last two years alone. Through Responsible Sourcing we identify risk, boost transparency, protect human rights and build supply chain resilience — conducting over 3,000 worker surveys in 2024 to help clients eliminate modern-day slavery and child labour. Underpinning everything is our training capability, delivering expert-led learning across all disciplines, and our EiQ data platform, which transforms supply chain intelligence into actionable insight.

Our Purpose

Shaping a Better Future, Together

Our purpose is simple and enduring: to shape a better future. It is the reason we do what we do and the lens through which every decision is made. We see ourselves as agents for positive change — organisations that help clients build safer, more sustainable and more secure businesses create ripples that extend far beyond their own operations. When we certify a food site, we help protect the consumer. When we audit a supply chain, we help protect the worker. When we verify a carbon footprint, we help protect the planet. When we defend a network against a cyber threat, we help protect society. This is not abstract purpose — it is the work we do every day, for every client, in every corner of the world. Our purpose unites a team of more than 5,000 people across more than 150 countries, and it sets the standard against which we measure ourselves: are we making a real difference? The answer must always be yes.

Our Values

Our Values Are Our DNA

Five values define how we operate, who we are and what we stand for as an organisation. Vision means we believe in our ability to make a difference in the world, and we make things happen — for our clients, our colleagues and our communities. Integrity means we do what is right, not what is easy. We are transparent, accountable and committed to the highest level of ethical practice in everything we do. Togetherness means we embrace our differences and believe that diversity is our greatest strength. We have an inclusive, performance-driven culture where everyone feels valued and a genuine sense of belonging. Ambition means we challenge ourselves to make our clients better. We embrace change, value innovation and see every new idea as an opportunity to evolve. We are a growing organisation with real career opportunities for people who want to achieve their personal best. Expertise means we take pride in the breadth and quality of our work, and we invest in the development of our people. Your expertise is the cornerstone of our business, and we are committed to helping you grow in a pioneering and purpose-driven organisation.

Sustainability

Our Planet, Our Plan — A Seven-Year Promise

Our Planet, Our Plan is LRQA's multi-year sustainability strategy and our promise to lead by example as an ethical, responsible and sustainable company. It is structured around four priorities that reflect the issues where we can create the greatest positive impact. Corporate Integrity ensures that ethical conduct, transparency and accountability remain the foundation of our culture and our client relationships — supported by strong safeguards against bribery, corruption and misconduct. People Experience reinforces our commitment to a workplace where every individual can thrive, develop and contribute meaningfully. Enhanced Livelihoods reflects our work directly improving conditions for workers and communities across global value chains — because the social impact of what we do is as important as the technical outcomes. Climate Action commits us to partnering with clients on the energy transition and to reaching net zero across our own operations by 2040. In 2024 we conducted a Double Materiality Assessment, engaging more than 60 internal and external stakeholders to identify the sustainability issues where LRQA's activities carry the most significant impact and the greatest risk or opportunity. Ten material topics emerged — from climate change and circular economy to labour conditions, cybersecurity and business conduct — all of which now shape how we set priorities and measure progress. LRQA is a participant of the United Nations Global Compact and has embedded its Ten Principles into Our Planet, Our Plan. We publish annual Sustainability Progress Reports and hold ourselves accountable through board-level oversight, executive stewardship and a dedicated global Sustainability Team.

Community & Impact

Real Impact Across Global Supply Chains

At LRQA, creating positive impact in communities is not a side programme — it is embedded in the work we do for clients every single day. Our Enhanced Livelihoods priority reflects our belief that business practices can and should improve the lives of the people most affected by global supply chains. In 2024 alone, our teams conducted more than 3,000 worker surveys to help clients identify and eliminate forced labour, child labour and unsafe conditions across their supply chains. We work on the ground in factories, farms, fisheries and facilities across the world, giving voice to workers and creating the evidence-based insights that drive systemic change. We also work closely with communities affected by the energy transition — supporting renewable energy projects that generate clean power, create local employment and strengthen energy security. Our involvement in ESG and human rights due diligence, including Human Rights Impact Assessments and the world's first end-to-end supply chain due diligence platform EiQ, extends our reach into the deepest tiers of global commerce. Every audit, every verification and every advisory engagement is an opportunity to raise standards, protect the vulnerable and leave the communities where we operate in better shape than we found them.

Inclusion & Diversity

Diversity Is Our Strength

Togetherness is one of LRQA's five core values, and it means something real. We believe in being respectful and embracing our differences — because the diversity of our 5,000-plus people across more than 150 countries is not just a reflection of the world we serve; it is one of the most powerful assets we have. We actively welcome people from all backgrounds and identities, and we strive to create a workplace where everyone feels genuinely valued and a true sense of belonging. Our inclusive, performance-driven culture encourages collaboration and input from everyone, regardless of role, location or level. We are committed to equal treatment and opportunity across our workforce and to fostering an environment where concerns can be raised safely, different perspectives are sought out and doing the right thing is the standard — not the exception. For candidates joining LRQA, this means entering an organisation that will invest in who you are and who you want to become, in a business that sees your background, your experience and your way of looking at the world as a competitive advantage — for you, for our clients and for us.
