For management consultants, we require at least two years of experience at McKinsey, Bain, BCG, or another leading consulting firm, or five years in a well-known company in the consulting sector. For interim executives, the bar is at least ten years of experience in an executive position in a large company, or fifteen years in an equivalent role within an SME. Beyond credentials, we look for professionals who thrive in an independent setting, who bring genuine expertise to complex client challenges, and who value the kind of transparent, community-driven environment that Malt Strategy is built on.

The process to join Malt Strategy is straightforward. Create your profile on the Malt platform, making sure it is complete and accurately reflects your experience and expertise. Our team will review your application within three business days and notify you by email. If your profile meets the eligibility criteria, you will officially join the Malt Strategy community and begin receiving hand-picked project opportunities matched to your skills and availability. You will have 48 hours to apply to each opportunity that interests you. If a project is a strong match, you will be put in direct contact with the client. Candidates who do not meet the Malt Strategy criteria are automatically redirected to the broader Malt marketplace, where they can still access a wide range of freelance opportunities.
