About Us

50 Years of Making Supply Chains Work Better

Unipart began as a British automotive parts business and has grown, over five decades, into a global supply chain performance improvement partner operating across 22 countries and nine sectors. Headquartered in Oxford, we serve some of the world's most recognised organisations — from Sky and Volkswagen Group UK to Airbus, JCB and Vodafone — with more than 12,000 colleagues applying the same relentless drive for operational excellence every single day. In 2024 we celebrated 50 years since the inception of the Unipart brand, a milestone that reflects how much has changed and how much has remained constant: our Great British heritage, our ambition to be the driving force behind efficient, resilient and sustainable supply chains, and a culture — The Unipart Way — that is in our DNA. Named the UK's number one logistics provider by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, we are a business defined not by our size but by the difference we make to every customer, every contract, every day.

Who we are

The Unipart Way Is in Our DNA

We are an international company with 50 years of heritage, but what truly sets us apart is not where we have been — it is how we work. The Unipart Way is our unique culture, first established in 1988, and built on the pioneering principles of Lean thinking. It is the philosophy that empowers every one of our 12,000 colleagues to diagnose problems, create innovative solutions and deliver supply chain performance improvement for our customers through a relentless drive for continual improvement and optimisation. Other organisations call it culture. Some call it brand. We simply call it The Unipart Way. It shapes the way we think, the way we work and the way we behave — from the warehouse floor to the boardroom. As a result of this deep investment in our people, our colleagues are three times more actively engaged than the average UK business. The Unipart Way has unlocked millions in savings for customers, driven efficiency at scale and created a community of colleagues who are empowered to make a real difference from day one.

What we do

We Design, Make, Move and Improve

We are a supply chain performance improvement partner. That means we go far beyond moving goods from one place to another — we design, make, move and improve the components in our customers' supply chains, keeping their operations and assets moving and working better, for longer. Our services span supply chain consulting, supply chain planning, design and manufacture, transportation and logistics, wholesale and distribution, circular economy services, advanced technology solutions and SAP consulting. We operate across nine sectors — automotive, rail and public transport, healthcare, aerospace, defence, technology, consumer and retail, industrials and construction — and we deliver those services across the UK, Europe, North America, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa. Through our commitment to continuously driving operational efficiencies, every engagement we undertake is focused on the same outcome: saving our customers time, cost and carbon.

Our Purpose

The Driving Force Behind Efficient, Resilient and Sustainable Supply Chains

Unipart's ambition is to be the driving force behind efficient, resilient and sustainable supply chains. That purpose is not a statement for the website — it is the reason every colleague comes to work and the standard against which every decision is measured. We believe that only organisations who address operational performance and the climate challenge throughout their entire value chain will achieve long-term, sustainable growth. So we embed The Unipart Way into everything: the continuous improvement of processes, the reduction of waste, the protection of people, and the creation of impactful value that goes well beyond the balance sheet. Our commitments — to our people, our planet and sound governance — have been specifically developed to create positive impact through our entire value chain, ensuring our approach protects the planet and benefits the communities around us, now and for the long term.

Our Values

CARE: The Framework Behind Everything We Do

Our CARE Framework reflects what our colleagues do each day to make a difference to each other, our customers, our communities and the environment. It is built on four values that together define what outstanding looks like at Unipart. We Continually Improve and Innovate — actively seeking out opportunities to think differently and try new ways of doing things. We Always Deliver Excellence — going above and beyond for our customers without exception. We practice Respectful Ways of Working — demonstrating kindness, compassion and empathy in everything we do, and committing our personal time and skills to help others. And we are Encouraging and Inclusive — always inviting colleagues to share their perspective and recognising their capabilities and achievements. These values are not aspirational posters on a wall. They are the criteria against which our Mark in Action Awards and annual CARE Awards celebrate the people who live them most fully every day.

Why working with us

Your 'Gate to Great' Journey Starts Here

Joining Unipart means joining a company that is genuinely committed to helping you fulfil your potential and build a bright future. Because of The Unipart Way, our colleagues are three times more actively engaged than the average UK business — not as a statistic to quote, but as lived experience. From day one, you will have access to tailored development plans as part of your 'Gate to Great' journey, competitive pay benchmarked regularly against our industry, flexible and blended working patterns, family-friendly policies, and access to a wide range of apprenticeship and learning opportunities both on and off the job. Our graduate programme delivers industry-leading training across manufacturing, performance improvement technologies and logistics supply chain solutions. Peer recognition is at the heart of our culture too: our Mark in Action programme has recognised more than 3,500 Unipart people over 35 years who have gone the extra mile, and our national CARE Awards celebrate the best of who we are. Your health, safety and wellbeing is our number one priority — Unipart became the first organisation in history to win the British Safety Council's Sword of Honour, Shield of Honour and Globe of Honour in back-to-back years.

Sustainability

Net Zero 2040: Sustainability Through The Unipart Way

Sustainability is not a separate agenda at Unipart — it is deeply embedded in The Unipart Way and is central to our long-term growth strategy. We have committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across our entire value chain by 2040, with a near-term target of at least a 90% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030. Both targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative as consistent with the goals of the Paris Agreement, adding external transparency and rigour to our commitments. In 2021 we joined the United Nations Race to Zero, and we publish our carbon reduction plan annually. Our Unipart Logistics business has won the British Safety Council's Globe of Honour for world-class environmental management every year since 2011. Beyond our own operations, our Growth in the Green Economy strategy accelerates the development of technologies and services — including our EI. Energy Control System, electric vehicle solutions and sustainability consultancy — that help customers dramatically reduce their own carbon footprint. Completing an annual EcoVadis assessment further demonstrates our alignment to international standards and our commitment to transparency throughout our value chain.

Community & Impact

Rooted in the Communities Where We Live and Work

We believe that the positive impact we create should extend well beyond the boundaries of our contracts. Using industry-leading tools, we track 37 specific social value targets aligned with The Social Value Model framework, with goals including more than 2,000 hours dedicated to community causes, over £50,000 in annual fundraising for our national charity partners, and engaging more than 100 young people through community outreach activities each year. Our national partnership with Trussell focuses on combating poverty across the UK, while our work with Railway Children protects vulnerable children on streets and transport networks. Through our annual Big Charity Challenge — which in 2025 raised a record £62,679 for more than 30 charities worldwide — every Unipart site engages in fundraising that directly supports the communities local to it. We also work with schools, colleges and universities, including the University of Derby, to inspire the next generation of supply chain professionals and give young people access to cutting-edge innovation environments. Our 'Climate Ed' environmental education programmes and our Social Value Supplier Charter ensure that every pound we spend and every partnership we form creates a meaningful, lasting benefit for people and communities.

Inclusion & Diversity

Attracting Inclusivity: A Diverse Workforce Is a Stronger Workforce

At Unipart we are committed to opening doors to rewarding careers for everyone, because we know that a diverse workforce is a stronger, more innovative and more resilient one. We are a Disability Confident employer and a proud supporter of the Armed Forces Covenant. We have signed the Australasian Railway Association's Rail Gender Equity Charter as a Founding Signatory and actively pursue a target of 40% female representation in new hires. Our wellbeing infrastructure is built to support every colleague: we maintain a 1:25 Mental Health First Aider ratio across the business, and 100% of our leadership team have completed mental health training. From gender balance initiatives to programmes that remove barriers to employment for those who face them most, we work to ensure that everyone who joins Unipart can thrive. Our 'Gate to Great' progression pathways and early careers programmes in apprenticeships and graduate schemes are specifically designed to develop talent from all backgrounds — because the future of supply chain depends on it.
