Working with us

A collective of consultants without business unit silos

We are an independent, multidisciplinary consulting firm built around communities of engagement rather than business units. Every consultant belongs to functional and sectoral communities that share knowledge and expertise across missions, and the same person can work on a strategy engagement while staying embedded in a sector vertical. We've grown organically at roughly 30% a year in recent years, a growth we credit to client loyalty and to keeping the quality of day-to-day relationships, not just results, at the center of how we work.

Why joining us

A genuinely horizontal, entrepreneurial culture

Our internal culture favours real freedom of initiative and horizontal management: every consultant, however junior, is encouraged to speak up, contribute and even contradict, which is how we keep a variety of ideas and perspectives alive. We've been B Corp certified since 2019, among the first consulting firms in France to earn it, and we reached gender parity in leadership as early as 2020 by focusing on talent and skills first. Our 2025 professional equality index reached 98 out of 100.

Career path

A grade ladder paired with individual role-building

Career progression runs from Analyst through Consultant, Confirmed Consultant, Senior Consultant, Manager, Senior Manager, up to Director and Partner, with typical step lengths of about two to three years per grade. On top of that ladder, we layer four role dimensions — consulting, project management, business development and expertise — so that each person's development path is built around their own mix of strengths rather than a single fixed template. Reaching Director and Partner level means taking on commercial development for the accounts you lead, while staying hands-on in content production and team management.

Training

The Bartle Academy and day-one mentoring

From your very first day, you're paired with a mentor who supports you throughout your time at Bartle — for analysts, that role is filled by their internship supervisor for the full duration of the placement. New joiners are onboarded through our Bartle Academy training programme starting immediately, alongside collective onboarding sessions that run twice a month, giving every new hire early exposure to our practices, a consultant's first-hand perspective, and a partner's view of where the firm is headed.

What we are looking for

Talent at every level, from intern to partner

We're in constant growth and look for talent at every level of experience, from final-year interns to partners. Across our interview process we assess methodological rigour and synthesis skills through case studies, English proficiency (we look for a C1 level), and — for more experienced candidates — managerial and business-development potential. We give real weight to the coherence between a candidate's background and our profession, and we make it a point to accommodate the specific needs of candidates with disabilities from the interview stage onward.

Recruitment Process

Three to five interviews, with everyone taking part

Your recruitment process starts with an interview with a member of our recruitment team, who stays your single point of contact throughout: connecting you with the right people, helping you prepare, and debriefing after each conversation. All other interviews are conducted by consultants — at Bartle, everyone takes part in recruitment, including our most junior team members. Most candidates go through four interviews (three for internships): an HR interview, a skills interview with a case study and English assessment, a potential interview focused on your motivations and career project, and a final interview with one of our two founding partners covering the firm's strategic direction. The full process typically takes one to two months outside of office closure periods, and can be run in person or over video.

Good to know

Six locations across France, Belgium and Switzerland

We operate from Paris, Lille, Montpellier, Rennes, Brussels and Geneva, and we've been named to Les Échos/Statista's "500 Growth Champions" ranking for six consecutive years. We work across a wide range of sectors, including transport and mobility, retail and mass consumption, financial services, energy, real estate, industry, tourism and the public sector, so no two projects — or teams — look quite the same.

Diversity and Inclusion

Parity reached through skills-first hiring

We reached gender parity naturally by prioritising talent and skills above all else, and our 2025 professional equality index stands at 98 out of 100. We've been a signatory of France's Charte de la Diversité since 2019, and no discrimination is tolerated anywhere in our recruitment process or day-to-day life as a firm — every application is assessed solely on background and competence, regardless of social origin, ethnicity, appearance or gender. We also take candidates' disability-related needs into account from the interview stage onward.
