Sustainability has been core to Eden McCallum's ethos and business model since we founded the firm in 2000. We are acutely aware of environmental challenges and committed to minimising our environmental footprint. Our business model generates a fraction of the emissions per FTE of traditional consulting firms. We have a well-established 5-step approach to reducing our environmental impact and work with leading organisations to support our transition to net zero. We monitor our Scope 1-3 emissions through a proprietary carbon dashboard. Our 2023/24 Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions were 98% lower than our baseline year (2019/20), and our total Scope 1-3 emissions were 78% lower, putting us well ahead of our SBTi approved targets. We achieved Gold in our 2024 EcoVadis assessment, ranking in the top 3% of management consulting firms overall and in the top 1% for environmental sustainability. Working with clients and consultants to drive deeper, faster change to meet sustainability challenges is a key pillar of our sustainability strategy. We help clients mitigate risks and seize commercial opportunities associated with the climate and biodiversity crises.

Launched in 2007, Eden McCallum's NGO Partnership has delivered over 200 pro bono consulting projects to help leading non-profit organisations deliver on their goals and maximise their impact. The Partnership was created to leverage our most valuable asset – our consultants – and bring that talented resource to bear on the most pressing social and environmental issues. Our NGO Partners are non-profit organisations whose causes we passionately support and with whom we build long-term relationships which enable real impact. We collaborate on strategy, operations, organisation and transformation projects. From changing the life outcomes of the most disadvantaged young people to supporting global conservation initiatives, our pro bono work is diverse, challenging and fulfilling. Our work effects real change. From analysts building financial models to help charities better plan their use of resources, to senior partners offering expert advice on strategy, board governance or organisational design, CEOs tell us time and again that our insight and recommendations lead to tangible progress and positive change.
