Teneo began measuring its global carbon footprint in 2021, establishing the baseline from which we are developing credible strategies for emissions reduction across Scopes 1, 2 and 3. We are globally committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050, with interim targets being developed in line with recognised science-based good practices. Our environmental initiatives span office selection and outfitting, travel policy, supply chain engagement and the deployment of energy and water conservation technologies in our largest offices. We work closely with our landlords to prioritise renewables-focused energy suppliers and actively engage with key vendors to understand and reduce their contributions to our footprint. Teneo is a signatory of the UN Global Compact and has participated in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment for several years, with both initiatives shaping our goals and driving communication of our commitments to colleagues worldwide. In the UK, our longstanding partnership with Future Frontiers connects colleagues as volunteer mentors with young people from low-income households, supporting their career development and educational aspirations. Since 2015, Teneo has partnered with Read Ahead, matching volunteer mentors with students to build literacy, confidence and a love of reading through weekly one-on-one sessions. We also support the Loughborough Community Centre in Brixton, a hub for children and families in one of London's most vibrant communities. In the US, colleagues have participated in Cycle for Survival since 2013, raising funds for rare cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
