About Us

Perspective That Moves You

WTW (Willis Towers Watson) is a leading global advisory, broking, and solutions company. With roots stretching back to 1828—when Henry Willis began broking marine insurance at Lloyd's and Reuben Watson founded the world's oldest actuarial firm—we have spent nearly two centuries earning the trust of the world's most complex organizations. Today, we operate across more than 140 countries and markets, bringing together the analytical rigor of our Towers Watson heritage and the global broking reach of Willis to deliver solutions that are as locally grounded as they are globally informed. Our name reflects the clarity and actionable perspective we bring to today's challenges: managing people, risk and capital to propel the world's leading businesses forward.

Who we are

Brokers, Actuaries, Advisors — One Firm

We are a firm of specialists: actuaries, risk advisors, brokers, investment consultants, benefits strategists, and data scientists who work shoulder to shoulder with clients rather than simply for them. Under the Willis brand, our risk and broking professionals have delivered outstanding client service since 1828, building customized insurance and risk management solutions for the most demanding global companies. Under Towers Watson, we remain one of the world's largest employers of actuaries, trusted by more than 300 multinational companies as their global actuary. What unites us is a shared conviction that diverse points of view, challenged against one another, produce breakthroughs — and that only the best ideas survive. The result is innovative, data-driven guidance that broadens your horizon while sharpening your focus.

What we do

People, Risk and Capital — The Full Picture

Our work organizes around three interconnected domains. In People, we help organizations determine how work gets done and how it is valued — from compensation strategy and total rewards to health and benefits, retirement, employee wellbeing, and AI workforce transformation. In Risk, we design and place specialized insurance and risk management programs across virtually every industry and peril, from property and casualty to cyber, political risk, marine, aviation, climate and beyond — drawing on leading analytics and technology to move clients from exposure to confidence. In Capital, we deepen perspective with advanced analytics and institutional know-how, helping clients solve the complex risk-and-return equation through investment solutions, captive management, M&A advisory, and insurance consulting. Across all three, we combine a global view with the local understanding of colleagues around the world to transform toughest challenges into actionable opportunities.

Our Purpose

We Transform Tomorrows

Our purpose is straightforward and enduring: we transform tomorrows. It is the reason WTW exists and the standard against which we measure every engagement. Transformation is not a metaphor for incremental improvement — it is the commitment to move organizations from complexity to clarity, from the unknown to the untapped, and to set them on a path for sustainable success. Whether we are restructuring a global benefits program, modeling climate risk for an insurer, or helping a workforce navigate the shift to AI, the question we always ask is the same: how do we create a better tomorrow for our clients, their people, and the world they operate in?

Our Values

The Values at the Core of Our Rich History

Our values are not aspirational statements — they are the standards that have defined WTW since 1828 and continue to govern how we work every day. Client focus means we act in our clients' best interests in every interaction, striving to understand their needs, respecting their perspectives and exceeding their expectations. Teamwork means that when you get one of us, you get all of us — we work across boundaries of business, geography and function to bring world-class advice to every engagement. Integrity means we earn trust every day through professionalism, doing what is right and telling the truth, holding ourselves accountable to clients, shareholders, regulators and each other. Respect means we listen to and learn from each other, support and celebrate differences, and manage our relationships inside the company and out with fairness, decency and good citizenship. Excellence means an unwavering commitment to professional development, innovation, quality and risk management — for our people and in everything we deliver.

Why working with us

Where Global Expertise Meets Local Understanding

We bring something genuinely rare: the combination of nearly 200 years of client-first heritage, one of the world's largest concentrations of actuarial talent, deep specialty insurance broking expertise, and proprietary data and analytics — all under one roof. We do not believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Our specialists build programs around your specific risks, industry, workforce and capital structure, then back them with the frictionless cross-border collaboration of a truly global firm. Our Willis teams work seamlessly across geographies to provide unrestricted access to the global insurance market. Our Towers Watson consultants bring decades of benchmark data and modeling capability. And because we challenge one another internally, only the best ideas reach our clients. That is perspective that moves you — and it is why the world's leading organizations, many of whom have been with us since our earliest days, continue to trust us.

Environmental, Social and Governance

WTW’s purpose is to transform tomorrows. We are committed to protecting the environment by reducing our company’s carbon footprint, using sustainable practices and operating in a socially responsible manner.

What ESG means to us

Our clients, colleagues and other stakeholders expect us to conduct business with integrity, in an environmentally and socially responsible manner and with the highest ethical standards.

7 ways we demonstrate our commitment to ESG

  • Conducting our business based on our Code of Conduct and our company values, which emphasize managing all relationships with fairness, decency and good citizenship
  • Partnering with our clients and communities to help address their social and economic challenges. We accomplish this through a combination of our business services and corporate programs
  • Fostering a culture of mutual respect and security, an inclusive and diverse work environment, an array of professional development opportunities, safe working conditions and fair hiring and labor standards
  • Implementing substantial information security safeguards, policies, standard and controls, which are aligned with ISO 27001
  • Strengthening our communities through philanthropic activities, including matching gifts and volunteer day programs that provide our colleagues with paid opportunities to volunteer their time and amplify their charitable giving through gift matching
  • Minimizing our environmental impact and carbon emissions through improvements to energy efficiency in our operations, leveraging technology to reduce our need for business travel, promoting recycling, minimizing the waste we send to landfill, purchasing environmentally-responsible office supplies and encouraging our colleagues to adopt environmentally-responsible habits
  • Improving our suppliers' ESG impacts by increasing our demand for and use of goods that are developed in a sustainable way and contribute to a reduced carbon footprint, tracking supplier diversity, including ESG questions and evaluation criteria within our procurement processes, and having in place a supplier contract that stipulates all operations must be conducted in full compliance with all applicable laws in connection with the contract

Community & Impact

Caring for and Giving Back to Our Global Communities

Giving back is embedded in how we define success at WTW. Our people and community strategy recognizes that the impact of our work extends well beyond our clients — to the colleagues, communities, and societies we are part of around the world. In 2025, WTW and its employees gave more than $2.3 million in charitable donations through business and office giving programs and charitable matches. Our colleagues completed over 405,000 hours of learning and development through WTW's training platforms, investing in their own growth and in the broader talent ecosystem. Through the Willis Research Network, we also collaborate with leading academic institutions on research that advances understanding of climate, natural catastrophe, and systemic risk — work that ultimately serves governments, communities, and economies far beyond our client base.

Inclusion & Diversity

Difference Makes Us Better

Inclusion and diversity are not programs at WTW — they are principal to our values and embedded in who we are. We believe that when individual talents are combined across a genuinely diverse workforce, we unlock our collective potential, make better decisions, and become more creative partners for our clients. Our I&D strategy focuses on three priorities: expanding opportunities to join WTW for talent with broad backgrounds and experiences; supporting colleagues at every stage of career development; and promoting a culture of belonging where everyone can be authentic, curious and bold. Our global and regional I&D councils — co-sponsored at the CEO level — set our areas of focus and drive accountability across geographies and business lines. Seven colleague inclusion networks (covering gender equity, LGBT+, multicultural perspectives, veterans, caregivers, workability, and early-career professionals) are open to all and active year-round. Our board reflects this commitment in practice: 44% of directors identify as female, 66% hold non-U.S. citizenship, and 75% of board committee chairs are female or identify as Black or LGBT+. As our Global Head of Inclusion and Diversity puts it: we know difference makes us better, and we are committed to making WTW a place where everyone feels welcome and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work.

Sustainability

Taking Action to Create Sustainable Value

At WTW, sustainability is not a reporting exercise — it is how we manage our business for long-term success. Our approach covers three interconnected pillars: environmental stewardship, people and community, and governance. On the environmental side, we have reduced our Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 55% from our 2019 baseline through real estate optimization and the purchase of renewable energy, transitioned to cloud-based data centers with more sustainable practices, and received validation from the Science Based Targets initiative on our near-term and long-term net zero emissions reduction targets. We publish an annual Sustainability Report and a TCFD Statement, and we are a CDP Supporter. Our governance strategy emphasizes management of all relationships with fairness, decency and good citizenship, supported by our Code of Conduct training, which is required of all colleagues globally. As a global company operating across more than 140 countries and markets, we understand that our broad view and local perspective must both inform how we pursue sustainability — and we are proud of the progress already made and excited about what comes next.
